Ruffles My Features

Ever hear the expression "That ruffles my features"? What does that really mean? I think it means that you are upset at the circumstances that you are experiencing at that moment.

There are many things in life that ruffles my features. It I try to name them all it would fill a library. Sometime it is just something that was spoken, or an action that causes this reaction. My features may stay ruffled for many days, even years. But I know where to go to smooth those features.

If I take my problems to the cross I can smooth out my features. With prayers and forgiveness I can reclaim my composure. Whatever ruffles my features today, God helps me to deal with the situation.
