The kingfisher is quite a character. He is call king because he is so well adapted to catching fish. He seems to make such a fuss when searching for food. With his wild calls in flight and his spectacular dives, it is no wonder he demands a royal presence.
It is not always easy to catch him in action. The kingfisher does not like to stay still long enough in one place. I get tuckered out by his energy.
One thing I can say. He does earn the right to be call king.
